Kumiko Konishi Soke

After the passing of Takehiro Konishi Soke in 2017 the JKR went through a period of grieving.

In 2018 the JKR saw Takehiro Konishi Soke’s daughter Kumiko Konishi ascend to the natural family lineage as our new Soke. It is with great honour that the JKRUK welcomed a visit to our Crawley dojo in October 2019.

Marita Sensei a founding member of the JKR in England and Soke have enjoyed a long personal friendship. Kumiko Konishi Soke is based in Florence in Italy where she is a highly respected and well-established musician and famous for playing classical music recitals.
